Position Title: Geospatial Analyst

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Geospatial Analyst to join our team remotely on a full-time basis. This client-facing role involves analyzing spatial data needs, designing solutions, and supporting spatial project delivery across a variety of sectors including utilities, municipalities, and private industry. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, excellent oral and written communication, and enjoys working directly with clients to develop tailored solutions that drive operational efficiency and insight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform geospatial data review, validation, and formatting to support client deliverables
- Assist with preparing and transforming spatial datasets within ArcGIS Pro
- Create and maintain data within an electrical utility network
- Support data integration and migration projects
- Interpret CAD and As-Built drawings
- Respond to GIS support requests from internal teams or clients and troubleshoot issues
- Document workflows and contribute to project reporting and status tracking
- Collaborate with senior consultants and project leads to support the delivery of geospatial projects; mentor and support junior team members
- Assist with QA/QC to ensure data integrity and adherence to standards
Qualifications:
- A diploma/degree in Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Professional experience with ArcGIS Pro is required
- Experience working with utility networks is considered a strong asset, electrical UN preferred
- Proven performance managing, editing, and analyzing spatial datasets with a strong focus on quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC)
- Familiarity with mapping standards, principles, and best practices in the industry
- Proficient use of FME suite is considered an asset
- Demonstrated use of Arcade and Python scripting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Project Management fundamental knowledge and best practices is considered a strong asset
