Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Flatbed Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and the ability to operate heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Secure, Tarp, Untarp Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation.
Qualifications
- Must be 25 years of age or older
- Must have a minimum of 3 years AZ trucking experience
- No more than 3 minor convictions in the past 3 years
- No serious or major convictions in the past 3 years
- No suspensions in the past 3 years
- No At Fault accidents in the past 3 years
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (AZ or Class 1) is required.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation.
- Familiarity with Flatbed, Step Deck heavy equipment operation.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
