Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth for children.
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, colleagues, and specialists to ensure cohesive support and understanding.
- Maintain accurate documentation of children’s progress, daily routines, and incident reports using computer-based systems.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety at all times.
- Lead classroom management efforts by organizing materials, managing schedules, and fostering positive behavior strategies.
Requirements
- Valid registration as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; experience with individuals with disabilities is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills in English
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles - ELECT, HDLH?, child development stages, and inclusive practices; strong adherence to CCEYA
- Ability to operate computers and classroom technology efficiently for documentation and communication purposes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the capacity to guide children positively and collaborate with team members.

Pay: $24.86-$27.16 per hour
