Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will lead a team of production staff, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and optimize manufacturing processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining productivity, fostering teamwork, and ensuring continuous improvement across all production activities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily manufacturing operations to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Coordinate and prioritize work schedules for production staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Monitor safety procedures and enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to promote skill development and high performance.
- Oversee the proper use of hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other equipment to maintain safety and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment; perform or coordinate maintenance as needed.
- Assist with assembly processes, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and implementing process improvements.
- Maintain accurate production records, report on performance metrics, and identify areas for operational enhancements.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate inventory management and material handling.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols during all operations and promote a culture of safety awareness.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments, with a strong background in assembly, warehouse operations, or production supervision.
- Hands-on experience with forklifts, hand tools, power tools, and mechanical systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience managing teams in a fast-paced setting is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities efficiently.
