Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Siding Installer to join our construction team. This role involves installing various types of siding on residential and commercial buildings, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, carpentry, and the use of hand tools, with a focus on exterior finishing work. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment, contributing to the enhancement of building exteriors with precision and professionalism.
Duties
- Measure and prepare surfaces for siding installation according to project specifications and blueprints
- Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, and saws to cut, shape, and secure siding materials
- Install different types of siding including vinyl, wood, fiber cement, or metal panels with attention to detail
- Perform caulking around seams and joints to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic finish
- Conduct heavy lifting of siding panels and related materials safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and installation instructions
- Assist with other carpentry or handyman tasks as needed during project execution
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure all safety protocols are followed throughout the job site
Experience
- Prior construction experience is required.
- Experience in exterior finishing or siding installation preferred.
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques and blueprint reading is highly desirable
- Familiarity with hand tools, caulking methods, and heavy lifting procedures is essential
- Experience with handyman work or general construction projects will be considered an asset
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and reliability are key qualities for success in this role
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
