KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Performs SMT activities in Manufacturing throughout all products life cycle
- Setup and operation of all applicable SMT equipment’s including basic preventive maintenance
- Adhering to acceptability requirements of IPC-A-610
- Reads and follows manufacturing documents
- Updates manufacturing records
- Reports defects and Non-conforming materials (NCM)
- Upholds 5S standard for continuous improvement
- Able to interact with other cross functional teams
- Follows Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) safe handling practice
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision in a team environment
- Must adheres to company guidelines/policies/safety
- Reports any safety concerns to direct superior or member of the Heath and Safety committee
- Performs other duties as required

- Skills in statistical process control (SPC), lean manufacturing, 5S (an asset).

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years hands-on experienced in SMT (surface mount technology) process in the filed of electronics manufacturing industry.
- Experience operating SMT equipment’s: solder paste screen printers (MPM, DEK), component placement (fuji, universal GSM), reflow ovens, paste height measurement.
- Hands-on experience with SMT, PTH, soldering, inspection, test
- IPC-A-610 certification, ISO, ESD handling, health & safety, WHMIS.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION
- High school diploma or electronic technologies.
Flexible for day or night shift.
