Overview
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Assitant Yard Foreman to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting with loading and unloading trucks, and selecting materials for our clients. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, ability to drive a forklift and light trucks, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with forklifts, some power tools and a knowledge of building materials. Multilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks and be able to organize loading for optimal efficiency
- knowledge related to building materials and related categories
- Handle customer questions and resolve issues promptly to ensure high satisfaction levels
- Be able to go on delivery for materials
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
Skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous
- Proficiency with forklifts and light trucks
- Knowledge of building materials and hardware or related fields is preferred
- Organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain storage areas
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with warehousing strategies
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with diverse customers and provide personalized assistance
Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
