Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Serveur to join our dynamic restaurant team. Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed to uphold food safety standards
- Assist guests with menu selections, upselling specials or additional items to enhance their experience
- Handle cashiering responsibilities including cash handling and basic math calculations for bills
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and dining areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Manage guest inquiries and resolve any issues professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
- Support restaurant operations during busy periods by multitasking efficiently
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred, especially in the food industry or hospitality sector
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle food safely and adhere to sanitation standards
- Excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables efficiently
- Basic math skills for cashiering and billing purposes
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
