Our client located in North York is looking for an experienced Technical Lead Hand to support daily production operations, provide technical leadership, and ensure a safe, efficient, and quality-focused work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate staffing to meet production requirements.
- Perform machine setups and die testing as required.
- Complete and approve production paperwork, schedules, and reports.
- Train and mentor Extruder Operators.
- Enforce company policies related to Health & Safety, Quality, Production, and Employee Relations.
- Report equipment issues, product defects, and workplace hazards.
- Ensure compliance with OHSA, WHMIS, Lockout procedures, and company safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated competency as a Level A operator (e.g., Extruder Operator or Shipper/Receiver).
- Previous manufacturing lead hand or supervisory experience is an asset.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
- Ability to perform basic math and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and work overtime when required.
