Journeyman Parts Technician
We are seeking a detail-oriented Journeyman Parts Technician to join our busy maintenance team. The successful candidate must be able to work a variety of shifts to meet our service needs.

Order, track, dispense, and manage parts inventories for various machines and equipment, including heavy equipment, on-road trucking, skid steers, truck fleet, signage, and safety items.

Handle incoming parts inquiries from internal (shop) and external (field) heavy-duty mechanics via phone, email, or in person.

Maintain accurate records and detailed orders regarding parts requirements.

Coordinate deliveries with parts drivers.

Suggest suitable substitutes or alternatives when timelines, pricing, or availability are barriers.

Perform general housekeeping of the parts department, including stocking parts.

Pick parts orders for PM work orders.

Conduct inventory counts as required.

Dispatch delivery drivers to pick up and deliver parts as needed.

Monday to Friday: 10–12 hours

Saturdays: 8 hours (alternating weekends)

1–3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry

Working knowledge of heavy-duty earth-moving equipment, heavy haul trucks, and service trucks

Fluent in English, both written and oral
-
Holds a Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract

Experience with forklifts, skid steers, and small cranes (an asset)

Strong sense of urgency, self-starter, and able to prioritize workload

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Proficient computer skills

Capable of performing some heavy lifting
