Reporting to and under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager, this position is responsible for but not limited to:
The handwork and polishing of all tooling to A1 finish requirements
Mastering parting line and pockets
Fitting and spotting of mold actions and parting lines is considered an asset
Attend tools samples both local and at customer facilities, for various sized metal work pieces during the mold/die build or repair according to customer specifications and requirements.
Ensure that all work in progress is being completed in a timely fashion to maintain job delivery requirements.
Knowledge of various steel types is an asset
Previous automotive lighting tool experience is an asset
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years’ experience
Must be able to work to tight deadlines and ability to work overtime
Must be able to travel in and around Windsor (90%) and United States (10%) for trial support
Must have good communication skills and ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD data
Physical ability to handle all tools and equipment as necessary
Able to operate overheard crane & hoist systems safely
