Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Helper / Renovation Helper to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction and renovation projects, supporting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the smooth progress of work sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and an interest in building and renovation trades. This position offers valuable hands-on experience across multiple aspects of construction and is essential for maintaining efficient project workflows.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Support carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople in their tasks
- Help with blueprint reading and understanding schematics to follow project plans accurately
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment under supervision
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks as needed
- Aid in installation of cabinets, flooring, tiles, and other fixtures
- Support restoration projects by cleaning up debris and preparing surfaces for work
- Assist with caulking, painting, masonry work, welding, and electrical or plumbing installations as required
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment at all times
Qualifications
- Prior construction experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, or construction estimating is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, concrete forming, carpentry, masonry, welding, plumbing, electrical work, flooring installation, tile laying, or restoration is advantageous
- Ability to operate heavy equipment (training provided) is a benefit
- Strong physical stamina with ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Valid work status is required
