Production Associate – Day Shift
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be an integral member of the Stance Healthcare production team at the Case Goods facility in Stratford, Ontario. The focus of this role is woodworking machine operation.
Starting rate of pay is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow Stance Healthcare’s standard work order process and procedures
- Safety focused machine operation, including table saws and panel saws
- Assemble furniture components quickly and accurately with minimal supervision
- Install hardware to complete cabinetry, including hinges and brackets
- General inspection of parts to ensure quality and identify issues
- Take and record accurate measurements using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares
- General use of hand tools, including hand drill and nail gun, for drawer assembly, dowel insertion
- Sand parts for finishing
- Maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Work effectively with other team members to achieve overall production goals
- Cross-train in other areas, as needed
- Package finished product into cardboard boxes or cartons
- Assist with wrapping, skidding and staging products for shipping
As our ideal candidate, you’ll have:
- Demonstrated mechanical capabilities/aptitude; experience operating machines including table saw and panel saws, various hand tools/air tools/power tools, etc.
- Experience using measuring tools and reading measurements accurately
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent hand eye coordination
- Enthusiastic team player
- Positive attitude & desire to learn
