Yard person - to service and maintain a yard of rental equipment. Inspect equipment before and after rent.

Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):
Experience: 3 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Major Work Area: Repair, Maintenance, Service, Recondition
Type of Equipment Repair: Heavy construction equipment, Bulldozers, Skidsteers, rollers, and excavators. Compact equipment - compressors, generators, light towers and compaction equipment.
Specific Skills: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work, Service attachments and working tools, Verify and repair emission control systems. Report to diesel mechanic.
Additional Skills: Keep maintenance reports and documentation
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail
Work Site Environment: Non-smoking
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence
