The Job:
The Sheetmetal Journeyperson will perform a variety of work for the construction projects team. The daily work will include planning, laying out, repairing and installation of sheet metal products and parts according to blueprints. This role will work as part of a team on various sites and projects from new build construction to major retrofitting of existing structures.

Your Work will include:
· Working safely and demonstrating strong situational awareness to prevent injuries to self and co-workers while on job sites and works to achieve the goal of ZERO workplace incidents. Always follows OHS and site-specific safety rules and regulations.
· Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products.
· Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed using tools such, rulers, calculators, and squares.
· Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, bolts and metal driver clips, ensuring work is done carefully and bonds will last.
· Install assemblies, including pipes, HVAC ducts, flashings, rain gutters and furnace casings in supportive frameworks.
· Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file and grind metal surfaces and joints of parts that have been assembled to ensure safety and a seamless appearance.
· Select the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specifications.
· Any other duties as required.

The successful candidate will also bring the following skills, experience, and competencies to the role:
· Currently registered as a Journeyperson Sheetmetal worker
· At least 1 year sheet metal installation experience working in a commercial / industrial project setting.
· The ability to work independently and as part of a larger team to complete larger and more complex projects while on site.
· Excellent attention to detail when performing work and a focus on meeting the quality expectations of our customers.
· Physically fit and able to safely handle tools and equipment used on the job site.
