Successful candidates must be living in or near Hamilton, Ancaster, Dundas, Burlington, Oakville, or Brantford, due to the full-time in-office requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform geothermal system analyses to support the sales and engineering processes.
Develop concept-level geothermal drawings to communicate design intent and space requirements.
Participate in proposal, design, and client meetings with technical and non-technical teams. Enhance Excel-based engineering models used for system sizing and analysis.
Prepare as-built drawings, RFIs, and construction documentation using AutoCAD and other industry standard tools.
Coordinate with external designers to support geothermal system integration.
Review mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural drawings for proper system coordination. Conduct site inspections related to mechanical room hydronic system installations.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
2+ years of experience in HVAC system design.
Proven experience producing construction drawings using AutoCAD.
Experience performing mechanical room inspections and construction site visits.
Working knowledge of heat pumps and condenser water systems.
Proficient in Excel for technical calculations and analysis.
Full-time, Permanent Monday to Friday
