Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Camera Installation Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining security camera systems across various locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret technical schematics and blueprints. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a range of tools and technical knowledge to ensure optimal system performance and security.
Responsibilities
- Install CCTV cameras, sensors, and related security equipment according to project specifications and schematics
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for accurate system placement and wiring
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and low voltage electrical equipment to complete installations
- Configure computer hardware and network systems to ensure seamless connectivity of security devices
- Perform electrical wiring, telecommunication connections, and mechanical adjustments as needed
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and calibration to verify proper operation of installed systems
- Collaborate with construction teams or other contractors during installation projects
- Maintain detailed documentation of installation procedures, system configurations, and site conditions
- Adhere to safety protocols related to electrical work, telecommunication standards, and construction practices
Requirements
- Proven experience with CCTV installation, computer networking, electrical systems, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical concepts
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and telecommunication infrastructure
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively
- Electrical experience or background in construction is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge for system mounting and adjustments
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
- Valid driver’s license preferred for travel between job sites

Pay: $30.00-$60.00 per hour
