Supervised Instructor (Independent Contractor)
Make a meaningful difference—one relationship at a time.
Do you believe that every person deserves to be understood, respected, and supported in a way that honours who they are? Are you looking for flexible work, a collaborative team, and opportunities to continue growing as a clinician?
Keepsake Educational Services (KES) is seeking compassionate, motivated, and neuro-affirming Supervised Instructors to join our growing team as Independent Contractors. We provide in-home, school, community, and virtual services that empower children, youth, and adults to build meaningful skills while celebrating their unique strengths.
At KES, we believe therapy should never focus on changing who someone is—it should focus on increasing independence, confidence, self-advocacy, and quality of life.
What You'll Do
As a Supervised Instructor, you will work under the clinical supervision of a BCBA/RBA to implement individualized programming based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) in a respectful, client-centred manner.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implement individualized, evidence-based programming designed by the supervising clinician.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with clients and their families.
- Support the development of communication, emotional regulation, executive functioning, social, daily living, academic, vocational, and community participation skills.
- Collect accurate session data and complete documentation in a timely manner.
- Monitor progress and communicate observations with the supervising clinician.
- Collaborate with caregivers, educators, and other professionals to promote consistency across environments.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet each learner's unique strengths, interests, communication style, and goals.
- Maintain professional, ethical, and confidential practice standards.
- Continue developing clinical knowledge through ongoing learning opportunities and supervision.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals and committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care.
Qualifications include:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree (completed or in progress) in Behavioural Science, Psychology, Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Developmental Services, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Experience supporting children, youth, or adults in educational, clinical, recreational, or community settings is considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organization, documentation, and data collection abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A genuine commitment to neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and strengths-based practice.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the service area.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Current First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Why Join KES?
At Keepsake Educational Services, you'll find more than just a contract position—you'll become part of a supportive community that values your growth and well-being.
We offer:
- Flexible scheduling that supports work-life balance.
