Target Traders Inc is a sub division of United Group of Companies. Our company is one of the fastest-growing logistics firms and we are currently seeking talented Forklift Operators based out of our Mississauga Terminal to perform the work noted below.
We Are Hiring For:
· Monday-Friday, Start Time 1:00 am – End Time 9:30 am (Full Time)
* Must be flexible for weekends
· Salary: $21.00-$22.00
· This position is PAYROLL, Permanent
Responsibilities
In our operation, you will:
- Use a handheld device to strip and scan trailers.
- Perform inspection of all freight during stripping and cross-reference bills to the shipment.
- Scale all stripped freight prior to staging.
- Ensure freight is staged in the correct location as per bills or manifest.
- Match paperwork and label freight accordingly.
- Record any discrepancies on bills and notify the supervisor immediately.
- Take pictures of and report damaged freight.
- Ensure freight is properly identified and secured.
- Run freight to the appropriate door on the other side of the building.
- Perform and record daily inspections of forklift prior to usage.
- Remove trailer placards as required.
- Hand bomb and sort freight when needed.
- Sweep trailers once unloading is complete; maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment, including proper storage of dunnage.
- Maintain a safe workplace and immediately report unsafe acts, accidents, or injuries.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced facility while meeting target timelines.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift license (counterbalance).
- Minimum 1 year of forklift experience.
- Ability to pass a criminal clearance check.
- Basic literacy skills – read, write, and speak English.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
