Position Summary:
A casual position is available for a Physiotherapy Assistant who is able to function capably completing and documenting treatment for the patients as assigned by the Physiotherapist. You will provide assistance to the Physiotherapist in the initial assessment and ongoing treatment of the client. You will perform portions of the treatment program as assigned. As applicable, you will be providing high quality care aligning with the policies and procedures as set out by HWMH as per your scope of practice. You will collaborate with the Physiotherapy and Interdisciplinary team on the In-patient Unit to provide and continually improve the quality of life and health of those we serve in the process of delivering care.

Qualifications
- Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma or Kinesiology Degree preferred.
- Previous experience as a Physiotherapy Aide in gerontology or rehabilitation preferred.
- Current BCLS.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to function as an effective inter-professional team member.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Basic computer skills an asset.
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history.
- Demonstrated a commitment continuing education and willingness to actively participate in department/hospital educational activities.
- Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others.
