Job Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused Equipment Operator to join our team working on projects in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating a variety of heavy construction equipment and a strong commitment to safe work practices.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoe, and compactors.
- Conduct daily inspections and perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
- Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
- Work closely with foremen, site supervisors, and team members to ensure project efficiency.
- Attend site meetings and communicate clearly to support smooth operations.
- Adhere strictly to safety standards, company policies, and project regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in civil construction environments.
- Proficiency in basic equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
- Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
