Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Barista & Kitchen Team Member to join our team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys both preparing quality beverages and supporting food production in a fast-paced café environment. You will play an important role in delivering exceptional customer experiences by preparing coffee, food, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

ResponsibilitiesBarista Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based beverages, teas, and specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service, assisting guests with menu selections and orders.
- Operate the POS system, process transactions accurately, and handle cash responsibly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, beverage station, and customer areas.
- Promote featured products, seasonal offerings, and café specials.
Kitchen & Food Preparation Duties
- Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast items, and other menu offerings according to recipes and food safety standards.
- Assist with food prep, portioning, stocking, and kitchen organization.
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Assist with receiving and storing inventory properly.
General Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with team members during busy service periods.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support café operations wherever needed to ensure an excellent guest experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, food service, or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
- Experience as a barista, line cook, prep cook, or food service worker is considered an asset.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic cash handling and POS experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of food safety and food handling practices is preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as required.
