Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Level II Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support during surgical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety while maintaining a high standard of clinical excellence. This role requires a professional with strong knowledge of dental assisting, medical terminology, and experience in specialized dental environment.
The Surgical Level II Dental Assistant will work closely with our dental surgeon and staff to deliver comprehensive care in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting.
Duties
- Assist during surgical procedures, including implant placements, extractions, and other complex surgeries
- Experience assisting during IV Sedation procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring sterilization protocols are followed
- Manage patient flow efficiently, providing pre- and post-operative instructions with empathy and professionalism
- Operate Paradigm dental software for scheduling, documentation, and record keeping
- Maintain accurate medical and dental records, including detailed documentation of procedures performed
- Ensure all clinical areas adhere to safety standards and infection control protocols
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with at least Level II certification or equivalent
- Familiarity with IV sedation, Straumann Implant system
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental procedures is essential
- Prior experience supporting surgical procedures in a dental setting is required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and surgeons
Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
