Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces to meet project specifications, ensuring high-quality results. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques, as well as familiarity with various construction tools and methods. The Concrete Finisher will collaborate with other trades and work on diverse projects including restoration, renovation, and new construction.
Duties
- Smooth, level, and finish freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, and edgers
- Install rebar and formwork according to blueprints and schematics to prepare for concrete pouring
- Operate heavy equipment safely during concrete placement and finishing processes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of projects
- Apply caulking, welding, masonry techniques, and flooring installation as needed for project completion
- Perform restoration and renovation work involving concrete surfaces
- Use carpentry skills for form building and adjustments during the finishing process
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to construction site protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
- Assist in the installation of concrete flooring and other related tasks involving concrete forming
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles
- Mechanical knowledge including operation of power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment
- Familiarity with rebar installation, masonry, carpentry, welding, and flooring installation
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and schematics for accurate project execution
- Experience with concrete forming, restoration, renovation projects, and the use of construction schematics is preferred
- Knowledge of caulking techniques and heavy lifting safety procedures is a plus
Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation will be highly valued for this role.
Pay: $22.26-$30.00 per hour
