About this position:
Hillside Centre is a specialized acute tertiary mental health facility located in Kamloops, BC, providing care for adults aged 19 and older with complex and severe mental health conditions, including neurocognitive disorders. The centre serves as a regional referral site for patients from across Interior Health and Northern Health and supports the provincial UBC Neuropsychiatry Program. With 47 inpatient beds, including adult, geriatric, and provincial neuropsychiatric units, Hillside Centre delivers highly specialized, patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary environment.
Hillside Centre offers a Physiotherapist the unique opportunity to work within an interdisciplinary mental health setting, supporting patients whose physical health, mobility, functional independence, and overall well-being are often impacted by complex mental illness, neurological conditions, and aging-related challenges. Physiotherapists collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, recreational therapists, and support workers to develop individualized treatment plans and support recovery-focused care
