Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Technician/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Duties
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Assist with budgeting and cash flow management.
- Maintain GST/HST records and prepare filings.
- Provide year-end accounting support and assist with audit preparation.
Qualifications
- College diploma in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Proven experience using accounting software, such as Sage.
- Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience in the hospitality, tourism, lodging, resort, hotel, or property management industry is considered an asset.
