Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a seamless and professional experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a solid understanding of automotive systems, and the ability to upsell services effectively. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued, along with strong sales and customer service abilities. The Service Advisor will coordinate between customers and technicians to facilitate timely repairs while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing rapport and understanding their vehicle concerns
- Explain repair and maintenance services clearly, providing detailed estimates and timelines
- Write detailed repair orders, accurately documenting customer concerns and technician recommendations
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion of services
- Upsell additional services or repairs that align with customer needs, enhancing service department revenue
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including payments for services rendered
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive repair procedures, dealership offerings, and current promotions
- Keep accurate records of all customer interactions, service history, and sales activities
Qualifications
- Previous dealership experience or mechanic background is preferred, providing a strong foundation in automotive systems
- Mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle issues and explain repairs effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-experts
- Sales skills with a focus on upselling additional services in a professional manner
- Experience in automotive repair environments is advantageous
- Cash handling experience ensuring accuracy in financial transactions
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
