Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operator/Forklift Driver to join our team. The Warehouse Operator is responsible for executing all warehouse tasks to ensure material moves quickly, accurately, and safely through the facility. This includes receiving, put-away, picking, cutting, packing, and staging of materials. This role works from printed pick lists only and supports the warehouse team in maintaining flow, organization, and service levels across all orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive inbound materials and verify quantities and condition
- Put away material into correct warehouse locations and zones
- Pick full sheets and materials based on printed pick lists
- Support cutting operations (beam saw) as required
- Label, bundle, and prepare materials for shipment or transfer
- Pack and stage orders by route, branch, or customer
- Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts
- Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled warehouse areas
- Follow pick-list only workflow (no verbal or unapproved work)
- Support daily transfers and shipping schedules
- Perform weekly cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy
- Communicate issues, delays, or material shortages immediately
- Work with a sense of urgency while maintaining safety standards
- Perform other duties as required
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of warehouse or material handling experience preferred
- Experience operating forklifts required (valid certification preferred)
- Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to follow structured processes and instructions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Safety-first mindset is required
- Experience with plastics, rubber, or industrial materials is an asset
- Experience with saws or cutting equipment is an asset
This role requires a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. All applicants must be capable of handling physical demands associated with warehouse operations while maintaining a focus on safety.
Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
