Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Server/Shift Supervisor to join our team. Responsibilities
- Greet and serve guests efficiently, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, including supervising staff and managing workflow
- Assist in food preparation and cooking as needed to support team efforts
- Handle POS transactions accurately using Micros POS or similar systems, including cash handling and billing
- Supervise and mentor team members, including interviewing, training, and evaluating staff performance
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Manage customer concerns promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and quality control
- Enforce restaurant policies and procedures, including alcohol service if applicable
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and workspaces
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant management, or hospitality roles
- Supervising experience with strong team management skills
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations gracefully
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively
- Strong communication skills for interviewing, training, and team coordination
- Experience in restaurant or hotel environments is preferred, including barista or kitchen experience
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and hospitality industry standards
