About Holistic Beauty Salon
Holistic Beauty Salon is a growing hair salon focused on healthy hair, textured hair care, professional service, and long-term client results.
We are looking for a Stylist Assistant who is passionate about hair, experienced, reliable, professional, and serious about growing in the salon industry.
This role is best for someone who already has some hands-on hair experience and is comfortable working with textured, natural, curly, coily, and kinky hair.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Shampooing and conditioning clients
- Detangling textured/natural hair
- Blow-drying and preparing clients for services
- Assisting stylists during appointments
- Preparing tools, towels, products, and stations
- Supporting services such as silk press prep, treatments, colour prep, extensions, braids, and natural hair care
- Keeping the salon clean, organized, and professional
- Helping with laundry, product setup, and general salon flow
- Following salon systems, standards, and client-care expectations
- Learning the Holistic Beauty Salon way of serving clients
Requirements
The ideal candidate must be:
- Passionate about hair
- Experienced with hair
- Comfortable working with textured/natural hair
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional with clients
- Clean, organized, and detail-oriented
- Willing to assist with both hair services and salon upkeep
- Willing to learn, take feedback, and follow salon systems
- Able to work in a team environment
- Legally allowed to work in Canada
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following is an asset:
- Shampooing and conditioning
- Detangling
- Blow-drying
- Braiding or cornrows
- Silk press prep
- Extensions or weave prep
- Wig installs
- Hair colouring
- Treatments
- Salon assisting
- Client service
Schedule
We are open to part-time or full-time applicants depending on availability and salon needs.
Applicants should be prepared to provide their weekly availability, including days, times, and any schedule restrictions.
Pay
Pay starts from $18.00 per hour, based on role, experience, availability, and fit.
