Job Summary
Pilot Coffee Roasters is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Customer Service Associate to join our team. In this role, you will assist customers with coffee purchases, provide product recommendations, process transactions, and ensure every guest receives exceptional service. You will also support daily café and retail operations while promoting our premium coffee products and brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Answer customer questions about coffee beans, brewing equipment, beverages, and café products.
- Recommend products based on customer preferences and brewing methods.
- Prepare customer orders and coordinate with baristas when required.
- Operate the POS system and accurately process cash, debit, and credit card transactions.
- Maintain attractive retail displays and restock coffee products, merchandise, and supplies.
- Keep the café and retail areas clean, organized, and well-presented.
- Assist with inventory counts and report low stock levels.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and help ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Follow company policies, food safety standards, and workplace health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, café, or coffee shop environments is an asset but not required.
- Passion for specialty coffee and excellent customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of coffee products and brewing methods is an asset.
- Experience using POS systems and handling cash transactions.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Food Handler Certification is considered an asset.
