JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Red Seal Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive electrical expertise to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
DUTIES
· Installs, tests, troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment, control wiring, instrumentation, and related equipment in an industrial manufacturing plant.
· Works safely and consistently with specifications and electrical codes.
· Advises management on hazardous conditions related to operation of equipment. Experience with PLC’s, remote flex IO, MCC and distribution centers, VFD’s, starters, transformers, and process instrumentation is valuable.
· Experience with using software to troubleshoot PLC issues would be an asset.
· Pays attention to detail and visual appearance of installations.
· Works with engineers, electricians and contractors for installation of new equipment.
· Able to use, create, and modify electrical diagrams.
· Electricians are expected to be available to participate in on-call rotation and call-ins.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Red-Seal Electrician with relevant industrial experience.
· Possesses a valid driver’s license.
· Able to work independently in a busy environment.
· Experience with maintenance operations and new equipment installations.
· Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allows one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
· Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
· Strong attention to details.· Computer literate.
· 24/7 on-call availability and overtime may be required at times.
· Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.
· Work both indoors and outdoors
