Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant to provide excellent customer service at our retail location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized station, assisting customers with fuel and convenience store purchases, and ensuring a smooth operation of daily activities. This role offers an opportunity to develop strong communication and sales skills in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities and experience with retail sales or cashiering are highly valued to better serve our diverse customer base.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling vehicles efficiently
- Operate POS systems for cash handling, sales transactions, and product purchases
- Maintain cleanliness of the station, including fueling areas, convenience store, and surrounding premises
- Restock merchandise, manage inventory, and ensure product displays are organized and appealing
- Provide product demos or upsell items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Handle customer inquiries courteously via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including basic math calculations for transactions
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during fueling operations and store activities
- Assist with merchandising efforts to promote special offers or new products
- Support team members as needed to ensure efficient station operation during shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities (English and another language) are a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash with precision
- Friendly demeanor with strong phone etiquette and customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if needed

Pay: $15.50-$17.50 per hour
