We are seeking a Driver for our Thompson location in a part-time capacity with previous commercial driving experience. The routes may involve driving up to 800km or 8 hours of driving (round trip) per day on highways and regional roads, in all types of weather.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, courteous, and efficient delivery/pickup service to our existing clients utilizing a company-provided vehicle (passenger van). Fuel costs to be covered by employer
- Deliver/pick up items in a timely manner to meet required scheduling.
- Ensure all items being delivered are handled with care during transport and delivery
- Cleaning/Preparing coolers
- Load and unload goods in a safe and efficient manner
- Inspect and clean the delivery vehicle regularly
- Maintain detailed records of fuel costs and mileage
- Other duties as assigned, which may include assisting with general housekeeping and organizational tasks at the lab facility when not driving
Requirements:
- Professionalism in customer service
- Ability to receive and relay information effectively to team members
- Valid full driver’s license
- Clean driving record (abstract will be required)
- Police background check will be required
- Problem solving, critical thinking
- Job task planning and organizing
- Ability to lift/carry up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is considered an asset
The driving schedule will rotate between Monday - Tuesday and Tuesday - Wednesday on alternating weeks. The candidate might be required to drive on stat holidays as well.

Pay: $24.00 per hour
