Materials Planning Manager
Location: 45 minutes north of Barrie, ON
Salary: $115,000 – $125,000 + 5% Bonus

Our well-known manufacturing client is seeking a Materials Planning Manager to lead and transform their production planning and material strategy. You will play a critical role in aligning demand forecasts, inventory strategies, and production capabilities into a cohesive, data-driven plan that supports both short- and long-term business goals.

The Role:
- Lead and enhance a robust Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process
- Partner with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing to align demand forecasts with production plans
- Translate business drivers into actionable production and materials strategies
- Oversee MRP activities, master scheduling, and capacity planning
- Ensure ERP/MRP data accuracy to support planning and procurement decisions
- Manage inventory levels, stock targets, and obsolescence strategies
- Collaborate with Procurement to resolve shortages and improve supplier performance
- Track production performance and provide insights to senior leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Planning & Materials professionals (5 employees)
- Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory health
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001, AS9100 standards
What You Bring:
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, or Engineering
- 8+ years of production planning experience, including 3+ years in leadership
- Strong expertise in SIOP and MRP processes
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor; Infor LN is an asset)
- Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and data analysis
- Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical, solution-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement focus
- Eligibility for Controlled Goods Program & Canadian security clearance: Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident with 5 consecutive years living in Canada

- APICS/ASCM CPIM certification
