Whitemud Resources Inc. is looking for a reliable Process Operator to monitor and operate processing units and equipment at our Metakaolin Processing Plant based in Wood Mountain, SK.
Responsibilities:
- Operate powered equipment including wheel loaders and lift trucks.
- Sample products, perform laboratory tests, and record data.
- Monitor outdoor plant process equipment.
- Adjust equipment, valves, pumps, controls, and process equipment.
- Shut down, isolate, and prepare process units or production equipment for maintenance.
- Authorize or co-sign maintenance work orders.
- Review operating procedures for normal operation, start-up, and shut down of unit.
- Participate in safety audits and programs as required.
- Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
- Work as a team and participate in training other workers.
Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required - mathematics, chemistry, physics, or process operations are an asset.
- Previous experience in heavy industry environments such as mining, mineral processing, oil and gas, power generation, food processing, refrigeration, or similar manufacturing industries would be highly valued.
- Provincial power engineering, compressor operator, or refrigeration certification is an asset.
- Certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), first aid, firefighting, or Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) may be required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
