Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring safety and accuracy
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a respectful and caring environment
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper techniques to ensure safety
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare providers or family members
- Follow care plans and document services provided accurately and timely
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is preferred
- Strong understanding of senior care needs and working with individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques and medication administration procedures
- Compassionate caregiving skills with excellent communication abilities
- Ability to perform caregiving tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, and mobility assistance effectively
- Patience, empathy, and a respectful approach towards clients of all ages and backgrounds
- Ability to work independently while following established care protocols
- Flexibility to adapt to different client needs and care settings
