Are you a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Educator ready to lead and inspire? A Step Above is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Supervisor to oversee our Out of School Care Program. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, direct experience with overseeing a program, a deep understanding of child development, child licensing and a drive to support children, families, and educators alike. Minimum 2 years expierence running a center required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations of the Out of School Care program
- Oversee staff scheduling and support team collaboration
- Manage program registration and ensure regulatory compliance
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate programming
- Mentor and support new and recent ECE graduates
- Provide guidance for children with diverse and challenging behaviours
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
Qualifications:
- Alberta Child Care Certification: Level 3 (Child Development Supervisor)
- Minimum 3 years experience working with school-aged children in a licensed program
- Minimum 2 years experience running a program.
- Proven supervisory and leadership experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and planning skills
- Valid First Aid in Child Care
Knowledge of licensing standards and inclusive care practices
