Licensed Millwright (426A/433A) – Day Shift

A leading automotive manufacturer is seeking a Licensed Millwright to join its Day Shift Maintenance Team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment to support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and support equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, including replacement of sensors, switches, and fuses.
Repair and replace pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, bearings, gearboxes, hoses, and filters.
Support production by responding to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
Perform welding and fabrication work as required.
Maintain accurate maintenance records using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Participate in equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
Support production operations by providing timely maintenance response and equipment support.
Participate in summer and winter shutdown maintenance activities as required.
Qualifications
Valid Ontario or Inter-Provincial 426A / 433A Millwright Certificate.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Licensed Millwright in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills involving hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Experience maintaining production equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting stamping presses, coil feed lines, transfer systems, destackers, and related automation.
Experience supporting robotic welding equipment and automated manufacturing systems.
Experience working in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive manufacturing environment.
Forklift Licence considered an asset.
Working Conditions
Fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
Overtime required based on production demands, equipment breakdowns, shutdowns, and project work.
Availability to support summer and winter shutdown maintenance activities.
Occasional weekend work may be required.
