Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Restoration Technician to join our team. This role involves responding to emergency property damage situations and performing mitigation services including water damage, mold remediation, and demolition. You’ll be working directly in homes and businesses, helping restore properties while providing reassurance to clients during stressful situations. This position starts at $21-25/hour, with opportunities for growth based on experience and performance. We also offer a company benefits plan after 3 months of employment.
Key Responsibilities
· Respond to emergency calls for water, fire, and mold damage
· Perform water extraction, removal of damaged materials, and general demolition
· Set up containment areas to control dust and prevent cross-contamination
· Install and monitor drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers)
· Apply antimicrobial treatments as needed
· Take moisture readings and document job progress (photos, notes, reports)
· Coordinate with team members for staged work (e.g., containment, demolition, equipment setup)
· Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and safe at all times
· Communicate professionally with homeowners, tenants, and property managers
· Load/unload equipment and maintain company vehicles and tools
Qualifications
· Experience in restoration, construction, or general labour is an asset
· IICRC certifications (WRT, AMRT) are an asset or willingness to obtain
· Valid driver’s license with a clean record
· Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
· Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
· Positive attitude and strong work ethic
· Availability for on-call, evenings, and weekends
