Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dairy Farm Hand to join our agricultural team. This role involves assisting with daily farm operations, caring for dairy cattle, and maintaining a clean and efficient farm environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a passion for farm life. Duties
- Assist with feeding, milking, and caring for dairy cattle to ensure their health and well-being
- Operate and maintain farm machinery such as milking equipment, feed dispensers, and cleaning tools
- Perform heavy lifting tasks related to moving feed, supplies, or equipment around the farm
- Monitor animal health and report any concerns to farm management
- Maintain cleanliness of barns, milking areas, and surrounding farm facilities
- Assist with herd management activities including breeding, calving assistance, and record keeping
- Support general farm maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and productive environment
Experience
- Prior experience working on a farm or with livestock is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating and troubleshooting farm machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a physically demanding environment
- Familiarity with farm machinery and equipment is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team are crucial for success in this role
