Now Hiring: Cook (Full-Time, Monday to Friday)
Location: Olly Fresco's RBC Plaza 200 Bay Street Toronto, ON M5J 2J3
Hours: Weekdays only, early morning to mid-afternoon
We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team. This is a full-time position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in quality, consistency, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Rational Oven and other commercial kitchen equipment
- Cut, chop, and dice vegetables as part of daily prep work
- Prepare food for catering orders and daily delivery service
- Make sauces from scratch following standardized recipes
- Prepare pasta dishes and marinate various menu items
- Refill buffet and maintain food quality during peak rush hour
- Assist in maintaining proper food storage and labeling
- Clean kitchen thoroughly at the end of each day
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen
- Must have knowledge on the use of a Rational Oven.
- Previous catering experience.
- Proficient knife skills and food preparation techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Must have a valid Food Handler Certificate
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Punctual, dependable, and physically able to stand for long hours
