Full Time Lines (Days, Evenings, Nights) and casual positions available!
The HCA performs various resident care activities and related nonprofessional services essential to caring for personal needs and comfort of residents.
Under the supervision of the Director of Care, the duties and responsibilities of the HCA include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist all resident/clients with a high quality of personal care, including by not limited to bathing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, vital signs, height and weight checks per policy
- Assist residents with meal time. Cut food. Encourage to eat. Feed when needed
- Follow through with all assignments on a timely basis
- Report to Director of Care or most responsible nurse all unusual behavior of resident (changing of status)
- Document resident status electronically as per policy
- Provide emergency care within scope of practice
- Provide housekeeping and laundry assistant where applicable
