Caretaker / Cleaning – Oceanfront Cabins (Ucluelet)
We are seeking a dependable, trustworthy, and detail-oriented individual/Team to join our team in caring for our beautiful oceanfront property in Ucluelet, which includes our family home and four luxury guest cabins.
Subsidized on-site staff accommodation is available for the successful applicants. The accommodation is provided as staff housing and is available only while actively employed in this position.
This is a position of trust. The successful applicants will be responsible for caring for both our private residence and our guest accommodations. We are looking for individuals who will treat the property with the same pride, care, and attention to detail as if it were their own.
This is a flexible, year-round opportunity, with the majority of hours available during the busy spring and summer tourism season. There is opportunity for the role to grow over time for the right applicants, including expanded co-hosting, guest services, property management, and administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and preparing cabins between guest stays
- Managing turnovers, including occasional same-day changeovers during peak periods
- Laundry, including linens and towels
- Restocking supplies and ensuring cabins are guest-ready
- Changing propane tanks as needed
- Cleaning and maintaining BBQs and outdoor areas
- General upkeep to maintain a high standard of presentation
- Regular residential cleans of our primary home

Schedule
- Flexible hours based on bookings and seasonal demand.
- The majority of hours are available during the busy spring and summer months.
- High availability is required during the summer months (June through September), as this is our busiest season.
- Weekend and holiday availability is required due to guest turnover schedules.
- Time off is best planned outside of the peak summer season where possible.
- Additional hours may be available throughout the year assisting with property maintenance and special projects.

- Experienced in hospitality, vacation rentals, residential cleaning, housekeeping, or property caretaking (preferred).
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive compensation based on experience and responsibilities.
- Subsidized on-site staff accommodation for the successful applicants for $1,200/month
- Staff accommodation is provided as part of employment and is available only while actively employed in this position.
- Opportunity for increased responsibilities and compensation as the role evolves.
- Flat rate for cabin cleans and $28-35/hour for additional work depending on experience.
