Job Overview
We are seeking to add an individual with civil construction experience and experience with GPS and survey equipment in the field. Must be able to shoot grades, for pipe install sanitary sewer, and storm. Read and interpret engineering and as-built drawings. Must have the ability to identifies errors on engineered drawings and advise on solutions.
Available for additional skilled labor duties as assigned. You will collaborate with Project Engineers, Site Foreman, and other professionals to ensure project specifications are met.
What we are looking for:
- A minimum of 1 year of civil construction survey or layout experience in a variety of related disciplines, road construction, structural surveys, underground and civil works.
- Ability to use and adapt to the latest survey equipment/software, experience with GPS machine control (Topcon preferred).
- Ability to calculate volume measurements based on surveyed topographic information.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Proficient knowledge of WorkSafe BC standards and policies.
- Physically fit to perform duties in the field.
- Knowledge of CAD software is a plus; experience with GIS is highly desirable.
- Relevant educational background or certification in surveying or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to fly drones an asset.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 44 per week
