On behalf of our Utilities client, Procom is searching for an AI & Data Analytics IT Specialist for a 12 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
AI & Data Analytics IT Specialist - Job Description:
As an AI & Data Analytics IT Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions that directly impact strategic and operational outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to design and operationalize innovative data solutions for complex initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to turn data into meaningful, business-driving insights.
AI & Data Analytics IT Specialist - Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end design and technical delivery of complex AI/BI architecture initiatives aligned with enterprise strategy and roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership across programs ensuring robust design principles, effective tools, risk management, and delivery excellence.
- Approve and govern solution architecture for AI/Data products to ensure alignment with enterprise AI/analytics standards and industry best practices.
- Translate business requirements into scalable AI/analytics solutions, selecting appropriate technologies and approaches.
- Design and validate secure, reliable, high-performing analytics architectures that meet business needs and service expectations.
- Develop AI & analytics data models and ensure effective data pipelines for transformation, quality, and loading.
- Support solution implementation and operations through documentation, training, stakeholder communication, and issue resolution.
AI & Data Analytics IT Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 7+ years of progressive experience in AI/data architecture within large, complex organizations.
- Proven track record (5+ years) delivering enterprise-scale AI and analytics solutions.
- Deep knowledge of data architecture, databases, and advanced analytics/AI/ML techniques.
- Direct experience with AI/ML, LLMs, model lifecycle management, and responsible AI.
- Strong expertise in modern data platforms and tools like Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align business, product, and technical needs.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
AI & Data Analytics IT Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- TOGAF, Databricks Machine Learning or Data Engineering professional certification.
- Experience with version control, CI/CD, or MLOps practices.
- Knowledge of Agile development best practices.
- Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Confluence.
