Job Summary
Dfy Studio is growing, and we’re looking for an Intermediate Interior Designer who’s confident in commercial work and enjoys a collaborative, team‑driven environment. Our projects span workplaces, healthcare/clinic, hospitality, civic, and institutional spaces. We work closely together in studio, but we also value flexibility—our team balances in‑office, at‑home, and on‑site work as project schedules require.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and lead components of commercial interior design projects from concept through construction.
- Produce drawings, details, and documentation in CAD and Revit.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Attend site visits, measure spaces, and support field review.
- Work closely with our team on design development, FF&E, and client presentations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial interior design.
- Strong proficiency in CAD and Revit (required).
- Ability to work in our Kitchener studio, with some hybrid flexibility.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site visits in the Waterloo Region.
- Solid understanding of building codes and barrier‑free requirements common to Ontario projects.
- Comfortable working across multiple project types and timelines.
- Organized, flexible, and naturally collaborative—our studio runs on teamwork.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Assets Include
- Experience with SketchUp, Enscape, or other visualization tools.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices relevant to Ontario.
- Experience with procurement or working directly with vendors.
