Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, taking X-rays, and applying fluoride treatments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and proper dental care
- Conduct oral health assessments and screenings
- Assist the dentist during procedures and treatments
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for performing precise dental procedures
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and equipment
- Ability to educate patients on oral health practices and answer their questions
- Proficient in using dental software for recordkeeping and scheduling
