Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, managing customer orders, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. Previous experience in food service and familiarity with POS systems are highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately according to standard recipes and customer preferences
- Use POS systems such as Micros POS to process orders efficiently and accurately
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Manage cash handling responsibilities, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces in compliance with food safety standards
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and adherence to safety policies
- Follow all food safety regulations related to food handling and beverage preparation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service flow during busy hours
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant or food industry settings, particularly in serving or bartending roles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cashiering duties
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, change calculation, and order management
- Knowledge of food safety standards related to food handling and beverage preparation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation within a hospitality setting
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly and understanding of alcohol laws is preferred
