Metro Vancouver / Fraser Valley, BC (Home-Based)
Territory: Vancouver Island, with additional opportunities throughout the Okanagan and Western Canada
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $90,000–$100,000+ annually, consisting of base salary, uncapped commission, monthly vehicle allowance, and mileage reimbursement. Top performers have the opportunity to exceed the target compensation range.

Wagonmaster Group is seeking an experienced Fleet Business Development Representative to develop and grow an untapped territory throughout Vancouver Island.
This is not an account management role.
This is a highly independent business development position focused on opening new accounts, building long-term customer relationships, and growing market share within fleet, commercial, industrial, transportation, and maintenance-focused markets.

To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Proven fleet, commercial, or industrial sales experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines and fleet maintenance operations.
- The ability to explain ROI, cost savings, equipment reliability, and operational improvements.
- A self-starter mentality with minimal need for day-to-day supervision.
- A passion for developing new business and growing a territory.
- Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills.
Candidates must reside in Metro Vancouver or the Fraser Valley.

Our customers currently include trucking and transportation companies, but opportunities exist anywhere diesel-powered equipment, gasoline-powered equipment, or metalworking equipment is operated and maintained.

What You'll Do
Business Development & Territory Growth
- Develop and grow an untapped territory across Vancouver Island.
- Prospect and secure new fleet, commercial, and industrial accounts.
- Build relationships with owners, fleet managers, maintenance managers, operations leaders, and shop foremen.
- Present technical solutions and demonstrate ROI.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools.
- Drive territory growth through prospecting, networking, referrals, and relationship building.
Customer Training & Product Demonstrations
- Deliver product presentations, equipment demonstrations, and customer training programs.
- Promote solutions for diesel engine applications, gasoline engine applications, preventative maintenance programs, and metal lubrication products.
- Educate customers on equipment reliability, maintenance strategies, cost savings, and operational improvements.
- Provide ongoing support to maximize customer success and product adoption.
Account Management
- Develop strong customer relationships through regular communication and site visits.
- Prepare customized recommendations and reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Maintain accurate CRM, mileage, and expense records.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience selling into fleet, commercial, industrial, transportation, maintenance, manufacturing, or related markets.
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, preventative maintenance programs, equipment reliability, lubrication systems, and fleet maintenance operations.
- Experience presenting technical products, services, or solutions to business decision-makers.
- Proven ability to explain operational benefits, cost savings, and return on investment.
- Proven track record of prospecting, developing, and growing a sales territory.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and achieving revenue targets.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Personal vehicle available for business travel.
- Valid passport and ability to travel within Canada when required.

Travel Requirements
Regular travel throughout:
- Vancouver Island
- Metro Vancouver
- Fraser Valley
- Okanagan Region (as required)
Occasional travel to Alberta, Ontario, and other regions may be required for customer support, training, meetings, and business development activities.
